Ease

The transition into parenthood is one of the most profound changes experienced in a woman’s life. New mums may become overloaded, lost or exhausted at the thought of all their new duties as a full-time carer of another human, and at the thought of their old life and identity disintegrating.

Ease is an app created for new mums as a preventative measure of postpartum depression. The app creates a support network, consisting of family and/or friends, helping to build a strong community of support around the new mother, helping strengthen resilience in their day-to-day life.

At times new mothers can feel overwhelmed, the goal of Ease is to support and encourage a balanced, healthy, and manageable life by assisting the mother and supporters to manage the overwhelming load of new parenting duties.

Ease is designed to increase resilience by encouraging mums to help themselves get to a position where they can acknowledge and stabilize their emotions, regain control, and gradually become proud, hopeful and resilient.

Ease has two entry points, one for the support network and one for the mum. Enabling both supporters and mother to communicate efficiently, feel supported and confident when asking or offering help.

Ease creates an opportunity for the mum to look after herself so she can better look after her family.
